### Basic Information:

Printer Model: Ender 3
MCU / Printerboard: Stock Creality v1.1.3
 [klippy.log](https://klipper.discourse.group/uploads/short-url/dsOL9Bg33wVMlpLXhZiBt242vRt.log) (64.7 KB)

### Describe your issue:

Hello, I try to get a 3DTouch ABL Probe v3.2 from geetech running with my Ender 3 V1. My general problem is that the probes red light is flashing and the probe seems to be not regnocize by the firmware.

#### Wiring:

I wire the 3 color wires to a 27 pin connector with the ender mainboard. From another printer with the same probe I know, that I have to wire the three cables vice versa. Wiring it normally cause a flickering display. Wire it vice versa, the display works normally. I also wire the black and white cables to the z Endstop on the mainboard. Already try to wire them vice versa. No luck!

#### Configuration:

I edit my config as seen in the `klippy.log`. I playing around with `#pin_up_touch_mode_reports_triggered: False`, `#pin_up_reports_not_triggered: False` and `#probe_with_touch_mode: True` also set the sensor\_pin from `^PC4` to `PC4`. Nothing seems to help.

Sending BLTOUCH\_DEBUG commands have no effect on the probe. Only getting a `Ok` back.

At this point I have no idea what to do. Anyone else?

I don’t really get it. Why is it so terrible difficult to follow the directions given when opening a post here?

Since you also ignored it: Can you explain why? Maybe we can improve the description

Okay. Can you give me a hint what I miss? If you mean that I add the printer.cfg from the log, in this case it think I could be helpful to show how I configure the probe.

I apologize for my misunderstood of the word “attach”. Now I attach the log file as a file it self.

I think „upload klippy.log“ is a more clear.

While your pins look okay, there are reports that the board is kind of picky when it comes to the BLTouch / Clones: [Ender 3 pro v1.1.4 main board + Bltouch](https://klipper.discourse.group/t/ender-3-pro-v1-1-4-main-board-bltouch/1592)
Do you use this adapter stuff?

Yes I use a 27 pin adapter. I disconnect the display cable from the mainboard and plug it into the adapter. Also connect the 3 pin cable from the bltouch to the adapter. After the assambley I connect the whole adapter with the mainboard display port.

I check all PCBs of bad solder joints and the correct wiring. All seems to be good. The only think that I can recognize is that the voltage supply on the adapter is 4.8V. But how to simply increase the onboard voltage? 🤷‍♂️

For a better description of my problem I attach a picture of the probe with the little red flashing LED. At boot of the printer the blue led flash one time less then a second and after that the red light appear.

![GIF-2023-02-22-10-34-08](https://global.discourse-cdn.com/free1/uploads/klipper/original/2X/c/c448386d583eb7b93bf41c0b1bd9e0340e64469c.gif)

I also swap this probe with one of my other printers probe. Works fine. So the probe at all works.

I order another clone with v3.1 printed on the case. The same behavior. Last option seems to be order a original BLTouch, but have no hope on this 🤷‍♂️

Maybe this setup with a old ender 3 mainboard and a new bltouch connected to a 27 pin updater not working.

Okay. The last days a lot of things change. I brick my original ender 3 mainboard while mesearung the voltage on the PCB 😅 DAM!.

Okay don’t give up. Order a new original creality 4.2.7. silent mainboard with 32bit, hopping the Probe will run on it instantly.

I plug in all cables into the new mainboard without connection the probe. First test the plain hardware with the stock marlin firmware. Everything works fine. Stepper motors, heating, the display and so on. Next flashing marlin with bltouch support provided by creality on their website. Connecting the probe on the given bltouch port. Oh nice, the probe seems to be work. At boot it moves two times down an up. After that the led lit red but try to controlling the probe from the display has no effect 😑.

Because of the complicated workflow compiling a new marlin firmware I decide to switch back to klipper. So I compile the firmware, flash it with the sd card, edit the config and see what happen!

Also everything works fine. The probe act like described before (moves tow times down and up, lit red). I try to solve the initial test with the `BLTOUCH_DEBUG` commands but they has also no effect on the probe. I play around with the config and the options described here: [https://www.klipper3d.org/BLTouch.html#bl-touch-clones](https://www.klipper3d.org/BLTouch.html#bl-touch-clones). No chance. The probe stands still.

I also testing another clone. Same behavior.

Hope someone can help.

For everyone who runs into the same problems: I bought an original BLTouch probe. Everything works fine right out of the box.

So don’t waste time and money. Buy an original one.
