# Adaptive mesh not working

Printer Model: voron 2.4  
 Host / SBC mainsail  
 klippy.log

### Describe your issue:

I have followed all the steps that I can find on mine in order to set up adaptive meshing (native)

You can doublecheck the attached printer.cfg file

Here are the steps that I have done:

- setup exclude object and labelling inside of slicer and klipper
- Include the line ADAPTIVE=1 where bed mesh is called
- Include the file manager stuff and moonraker

I’ve done all of that and I included the relative files

You might want to delete the saved bed mesh at the bottom of your printer.cfg. Other than that it looks to me as if it should work. What version of klipper are you using? You might want to flash another SD with the current version and see if that helps.

Your Klipper version is old and does not support adaptive meshing.

```auto

Git commit [`5f990f93`](https://github.com/Klipper3d/klipper/commit/5f990f93) is from August 10, 2023. Adaptive meshing was implemented in January 2024.

thanks. do you know how to update firmware? ive been messing with it for several hours and i cant do it
