### Basic Information:

Printer Model: RatRig vcore3 400mm
 MCU / Printerboard: Octopus Pro
 Host / SBC: Raspberry Pi 4 2Gb
[klippy (2) (3).log](https://klipper.discourse.group/uploads/short-url/vprO3hR4Up3262iFTbl9UqIufQI.log) (7.0 MB)

hello guys, I need help: Every now and then randomly when I turn the printer back on I find the printer.cfg completely empty, and every time I lose my configuration.
The printer is a 400mm ratrig kit, initially I thought it was Ratos the problem but now I have reinstalled Mainsailos completely from scratch over and over again, but nothing every now and then I find the printer.cg empty.
I tried everything, changed SD card and reinstalled everything several times but nothing, checked the directories and everything is ok.

I don’t know what to do anymore and I’m going crazy.

I’m thinking of replacing the raspberry but first I wanted to know your opinion.

I haven’t found any solutions online.

Help me please!

Thanks

It still seems like an SD card issue or an SD communication issue.
Ideally, you want to know to work, a new good SD card to check that.

A somewhat simple way to achieve something similar is to flash SD card and check the image.
Depending on your qualification you can do that either with `dd` or format, write a large enough file, and check checksum before and after.

If the card is healthy, well, there can be an issue with RPI and/or RPI power.
I can’t guess what can be done here, maybe clean contacts with some isopropyl alcohol and [check the voltages](https://www.elinux.org/RPI_vcgencmd_usage) and [power](https://forums.raspberrypi.com/viewtopic.php?t=257569).

Btw, Also you may want to just use the official raspberry pi imager and the latest clean/lite image, IIRC it does check the SD card after flash.
_Instead of different prebuilded images._

Hope that helps.

_In perfect world some sort of filesystem with CoW and checksums will be used for SD cards._
