### Basic Information: Printer Model: Sunlu S8 MCU / Printerboard: SKR-2 `klippy.log` [klippy (4).log](https://klipper.discourse.group/uploads/short-url/yfe926qj9y5cTN18XVxlQwIbq4B.log) (253.3 KB) _Fill out above information and in all cases attach your_ `klippy.log` _file. Pasting your_ `printer.cfg` _is **not** needed_ _When pasting code or config snippets_ **use** _the code tags_ **\** _in the menu above_ I have just got my Klipper setup to recognize my MCU thankfully. I have bed and hotend temp controls available as well as fan control. I have a SKR-2 using tmc2209 with the jumpers set in UART . My end stops for for X and Y report correctly, Z is always showing open since its not plugged in. my issue is the X,Y,Z, and extruder movement controls trigger a shutdown of Klipper for a unable to read the tmc uart ‘stepper x’ register ifcnt. the stepper designation of course changes to match the stepper as I try other steppers. as you can see in the klippy log I have tried to set uart address as either 1,2,3,0, attempting to get one of 4 steppers working. I am new to both Klipper and setting up cfg files so please understand i am learning as I go and may not understand what you may ask to help diagnose. thanks in advance for any help. ---

Klipper does not verify UART communication on startup. Use `DUMP_TMC STEPPER=` to verify that UART is working correctly. To start. try to wire UART to just one stepper, use above command to verify that it’s wired/configured correctly.
