Retired I.T. Director, been involved with 3-d “stuff” for a decade. Started out building a 3-d mill from a kit, then converted it to a laser cutter, and finally to a 3-d printer. The overall design was not good for printing (notably the printhead assembly and the print bed mechanisms were far too heavy for any reasonable acceleration) so I broke down and bought a Creality 3 which I promptly upgraded to a direct feed printhead, second z-axis drive, and 4.2.7 motherboard.
I only learned about Klipper in late 2022, and adopted it enthusically since I’m a long-time Raspberry Pi experimenter. Still have a lot to learn, but enjoying it immensely.
