Ever since I installed a BDsensor from fly, I’ve been having this issue. When I try to home the bed, while doing the Z homing, the error comes out and its usually the “Unable to read tmc uart ‘stepper_z1’ register DRV_STATUS” and also the “Unable to read tmc uart ‘stepper_z2’ register GSTAT”. I have stepper_z1, stepper_z2 and stepper_z3, and those take turns apearing in these message with the Y axis also appearing fewer times.
First I thought it was the wiring and I changed all the wiring. But than I have never had this problem when i had a BLtouch.
To continue working, I have to shutdown, take the printer off the plug and back in. With luck I can do several prints without problem, but than, I have to restart the printer 2 or 3 times in a row.
I used this site to install the sensor: Installation **BDsensor** | FLY Docs

After reading this post I think I got the solution to my problem. Apparently I was getting some kind of frequence noise when using 1/32 microsteps for my z axis. I simply changed to 1/16 and no errors reported so far.
I will do some more testing and mark as a solution if I have no more errors.

Nope! Changing the microsteps was not a solution. I guess I will keep on with failing machine every 10 - 20 homings

Try using a different pin for PB2, such as PE8, which is nearby.

I thought this was a solution. I had several prints before the error happen again.
Well, maybe there is more than one sorce of error
Thank you for the effort thou
