Printer Model: CreatBot Max R3D MCU / Printerboard: Unknown / CreatBot proprietary board (photos of the board can be provided) Host / SBC: Raspberry Pi running Klipper klippy.log: Attached
Describe your issue:
I recently acquired a CreatBot Max R3D and I am trying to get it working with Klipper.
The printer currently has firmware/configuration problems, and I do not have the original factory firmware or the original configuration files.
I would like to use Klipper with this printer, but I am having difficulty creating a correct printer.cfg because I do not know the exact pinout and hardware configuration of the CreatBot control board.
I am looking for help identifying:
The exact MCU and control board.
X/Y/Z/E stepper pins.
Direction and enable pins.
Endstop pins.
Extruder heater pin.
Heated bed heater pin.
Thermistor pins.
Fan pins.
Extruder configuration.
Display configuration.
Any other relevant hardware parameters.
I have already inspected the printer and can provide detailed photos of the control board, connectors and wiring if necessary.
I am also looking for anyone who owns a CreatBot Max R3D / Max R3S and has a working Klipper configuration, especially a working printer.cfg.
Additionally, if someone has a backup of the original CreatBot firmware for the Max R3D, that would be extremely helpful. I would like to have the original firmware available so I can restore the machine if necessary.
I also own a CreatBot Mini with firmware-related problems, so information or original firmware for that model would also be greatly appreciated.
I understand that these printers may use proprietary hardware, and I am willing to provide photos and hardware information to help identify the board.
Any help identifying the board, determining the pinout, finding the original firmware, or creating a working Klipper configuration would be greatly appreciated.
Regarding the printer model, I believe it is a CreateBot MAX R3D, but I am currently trying to identify the exact revision/version because I purchased the machine used and I don’t have the original documentation.
The printer board appears to be based on an ATmega2560, and the pin mapping I currently have does not seem to match the STM32 pinout you listed.
rinter, the electronics/control board, the serial-number label, and the connectors if that helps identify whether it is an S1, S3, or another revision.
I would like to get the correct Klipper configuration without risking the heaters or other hardware.
Yes, I understand. I have two printers: a CreateBot Max R3D and a CreateBot Mini.
The machines I have are the ones made by the original CreateBot manufacturer. Both of my printers use an ATmega2560 controller board.
I can send you photos of the printers, controller boards, labels, and any other information you need to identify which CreateBot company/manufacturer they are from.
I would make a request for just one printer a time. You might rename the thread name to just “Help needed: Createbot MAX 3D Printer firmware / Klipper configuration” or “Help needed: Createbot MINI 3D Printer firmware / Klipper configuration” or start over (confusion).
My post was intended to define the printer we are talking about. Dasac posted pictures of two printers. Very confusing.
First of all Dasac has to name/define (fotos, whatever) the printer he wants to go with,
In my eyes you are talking about the wrong printer.
