Note that:

  • The strength of the scanner probes is at an equidistant Z-level during meshing and not necessarily during Z-homing (constantly changing Z-level).
  • Homing moves (QGL is somewhat of a homing move) at high velocities can be detrimental to accuracy.
  • If you generally have a stable bed and trust it, it is much better to work with only small Z-movements instead.
