I have 2 identical Ender3 V2 Neos, I started setting them up from scratch a few days ago. One of them works normally and I used the same config for the problematic one.
It homes and prints normally, however when I try to get a bed mesh I get
Probe triggered prior to movement
Failed to verify BLTouch probe is raised; retrying.
I replaced the CR touch (had a brand new one available) but same issue, I traced the cable and it appeared good. Checked multiple settings like safe Z hop, tried manually moving the head before the bed mesh, nothing I was able to find worked. I also thought the power backfeeding could be the problem, so I snipped the red wire of the USB cable..
I would exchange one of the two cr touch with the working cr touch and check both printers again.
That will isolate where the faulty part. Just the first step. It can be a cr touch, the wiring, or the printer board.
Thank you very much for the details, however the problem was much simpler that this. My bed level was not even remotely good, and from homing in the middle to going to the starting point of the probes the difference was so great, that the CR touch couldn’t extend fully.
I hadn’t noticed this since the printer is in another room, I asked a friend to start the calibrate for me and it all clicked. Went back to leveling the bed and z-offset, and it’s now working. Maybe this helps somebody at least.
