Firmware.bin on sd not flashing Ender 3 Pro running Marlin 2.1.2.1

Basic Information:

Ender 3 Pro
STM32F103
Rpi3b

So folks I’ve followed the same YT guide which flashed my older 8bit E3Pro no problems at all, so thought I would move on to flash my second Ender 3 Pro with the 4.2.2 board using the same video. (He also shows the 4.2.2 process too).

Problem is, when inserting the sd with only the firmware.bin on then switching printer on it goes straight to Marlin does not appear to even look at this SD and this is the second card I have tried. Any ideas please ?

What video guide?

Is the SD card prepared with the correct format?

Fat32 64MB card

Well, I guess what @EddyMI3D was trying to convey: Please follow the official instructions and not some video of unknown quality.

This already could be the issue. A lot boards struggle with SD cards >8GB

In Issues flashing the printer board you will find the common reasons that lead to failed attempts.

It is not >8GB

My apologies. I assumed a typo and that you meant 64GB. I’d be interested in a link where to get 64MB SD cards.

So trying a 5th SD card finally did the trick! Thanks folks

Not sure you can buy them anymore… I’ve had it a while and only used it for these exact reasons. That all said you did give me the idea to try another but after trying 4 previously not thinking they could all be at fault but yes… It’s now worked thanks again
