Flashing is not working for ender 3v2

Basic Information:

Printer Model: Ender 3V2
MCU / Printerboard: 4.2.2 with GD
Host / SBC Raspberry PI V3
klippy.log

klippy (3).log (111.9 KB)

I started the “make”, copied the .bin (named fw0406.bin) to a sd, and started the printer, without connection to the pi or the display.

After a while, I switched the printer of, dismounted the sd-card, connect the usb to the raspberry, and powered on again.
on the minimon I got the message
Update failed, No SD/TF-Card or error
Update failed, No SD/TF-Card or error

and the printer is clicking 4 times.
So i deleted the fw0406.bin, and copied the marlin fw to the sd. (without usb) after a view moments the marlin sw start, without any problems.

the filesize of the fw ist 38kByte.

What do I make wrong?

thx Dirk

Did you even try to connect the Pi to the MCU before flashing back?

SSH in and use kiauh to find the MCU or run ls /dev/serial/by-id/*.

I don’t know for sure what display you have but many won’t work before Klipper initializes the MCU with info from a valid printer.cfg file.

EDIT: apparently getting your stock display to work under Klipper takes some work.

Yes I read a lot,

but I tested a zip file here from the forum which was nearly working, but the version was to old.

Then I got in mind that perhaps the transfer via winscp ist the problem:

BINGO

I made a tar out of the bin. downloaded it, extracted the tar and copied the bin to sd-card.

And : ABLOUSE.

the connection was astablished. It was one day of work.

Glad you got it sorted out!
