Describe your issue:

So I have two Fly-ADXL345-USB connected (one for x and one for y) and flashed with klipper no problem.

lsusb shows the devices but ls /dev/serial/by-id/ only shows the printer mcu and both rp2040’s are not showing. I am running on up to date debian trixie. Thinking there was something wrong with these devices I connected them to a older klipper printer (running bookworm) and ls /dev/serial/by-id/ works perfectly. The devices show up. To me this pointing to something strange in trixie. For some reason UDEV is creating a serial device for the printer mcu (CH340) but not the rp2040’s.

here is ouput fron lsusb -v

Please Help! I am very stumped…

From research, the rp2040 functions as a standard USB Communication Device Class (CDC ACM) device (virtual serial port). If I

pi@debian:~$ zcat /proc/config.gz | grep ACM
# CONFIG_VIDEO_RDACM20 is not set
# CONFIG_VIDEO_RDACM21 is not set
# CONFIG_USB_ACM is not set
# CONFIG_USB_G_ACM_MS is not set

without USB_ACM set the custom kernel I built does not give a /dev/ttyACM0 or /dev/ttyUSB0 for the rp2040??? Is that correct?

So I can confirm the rp2040 uses the kernel driver module cdc_acm. I rebuilt the kernel enabling cdc_acm under the USB devices section and all is working now. Hopefully this is a help to someone else.
