General stepper motor and driver question

Hey there, I’m seeking some education on how stepper drivers work and if I could make use of any of the ones I’ve been hearing of. Things such as stealthchop and spreadcycle came up while researching some improvements for my printer, and I thought it would be good to experiment with those modes if possible.

I’m interested in the silence and apparently good performance of stealthchop 2. Though I’m not sure if I can make use of this setting.

My printer config is attached if it’s of use.

I’m pretty sure that to use the modes I mentioned you need the hardware, tmc drivers, but I think my printer’s board has them built-in (unsure of that).

Any general knowledge I can make use of would be great, happy printing and thank you!
