Describe your issue:

Hi,

For a few days now I’ve been having problems with the toolboard, printing stops shortly after starting…

With the help of AI, I’ve seen that in the logs it seems that the problem is with the toolboard, I’ve never had these problems before… So I’m going to try connecting it via USB… At the moment it is via Canbus. But just as I’ve found documentation for configuration via Canbus, I’ve found very little for connecting via USB…

Does anyone know of any resource that explains the procedure for configuring a toolboard via USB?

Do I have to install Katapult? (I suppose not)

What board (brand/model) is in your toolhead?

Over usb, it’s absolutely the same as connecting you main board over usb. It’s done by declaring one more mcu section, but that time with the name.
Flashing klipper into that board may be a bit tricky sometimes, since it doesn’t usually have an sd card slot, and you’ll need to flash it in dfu mode, or something similar depending on microcontroller used. But usually you can find that info in the board documentation.

Bigtreetech Ebb42 v1. 1

In general i flash boards with stm32….

When conected by usb. Toolboard (Ebb42)…?

  • Can have flashed bootloader (katapult)
  • Must have flashed bootloader (katapult)

But… it’s necessary bootloader?
