I’m relatively new to 3D printing and this is my first proper error that I cannot get rid of. Any help would br much appreciated

Recently my printer has been playing up with fluctuations in extruder temp, so much so it causes an error message. Before I start looking at hardware fixes is there any hinters on the software side of things that might tell me what is wrong.

Every time a jump of several centigrades, up to about 30°C.

Usually this is a hardware issue not software.
In this case a malfunctioning thermistor or it’s cabling.

Thanks, is there any way to tell what if wrong from this data or is it trial and error?
