MCU fan not working even though power is on

Issue
I recently noticed my MCU temperatures rising to 60 degrees, and kept rising, even though the power for the MCU fan was 80%. I’ve taken the MCU fan off and powered it with a 24V battery and it still works, which makes me now question if there is a problem with the motherboard or the firmware. Is there some gcode that I can enter into the console to help decipher or any thoughts?
