Theoretically, the H6 SoC should support hardware encoding for both H.264 and H.265. No idea though, if it is supported on kernel / software side.

I have done some research on this - Armbianā€™s support on hardware-accelerated H.264 decoding is more common but the encoding part is very spotty to say the best. I have tried a few SBCs (not including CB1). Only gstreamer on Orange Pi has (buggy) h.264 encodingā€¦ :frowning:

Think CB1 is not based on Armbian but somehow ā€œstandardā€ Debian 11 as I understood.

Update:

Did the same now with OctoEverywhere - same behaviour, was just about to check my print status - logged in to the site and bang - MCU shutdown.

So it is not restricted to one remote access tool but some general issue it seems.

I havenā€™t had this happen yet, but Iā€™ll update here if it does.

ps: Some of the debian releases are buggy.
