MCU:timer to close & Internal error on command:"G1" after updating Klipper

Basic Information:

Printer Model: Flsun V400
MCU / Printerboard: robin nano 2.0
Host / SBC
klippy.log
klippy-1-2.log (3.2 MB)

I am using the stock Klipper version directly from FLSUN and the hardware is also all stock. I just did an update from mainsail. Afterwards, I tried doing a print, and I am now getting “Internal error on command:“G1” in the console, and then the printer shuts down. After the shutdown, I also get a notice in mainsail that says,

“MCU ‘mcu’ shutdown: Timer too close This often indicates the host computer is overloaded. Check for other processes consuming excessive CPU time, high swap usage, disk errors, overheating, unstable voltage, or similar system problems on the host computer.”

I recently made changes to a couple of the macros, but I reversed them as a part of the troubleshooting for this new problem. The printer config has not had any changes, at least not after the update, and it was working fine just last night. This is the first time that I have come across a problem that I am completely baffled by and have no idea where to even start with. Any help would be very much appreciated! Thank you in advance for your time.

Hard to say. According to the log, the version of Klipper used is very old.

There is a big challenge with vendors who ship Klipper directly with their printers:

  • Often they implement modifications aside from the official Klipper mainline.
  • Sometimes, or rather often, these modifications are not made public.
  • The level of maintenance/updates/fixes depends solely on the effort the vendor puts into it.

These three points above regularly lead to users being “locked” to the version offered by the vendor. Any updates to newer versions may render the printer inoperable because relevant parts are missing.

Since I do not own the printer and the Klipper version is generally very old, your best bet is probably to contact Flsun directly.

Thank you for taking the time to reply! I was hoping this was not a manufacturer specific issue as those are always pain to deal with, but I will reach out and see what FLSUN has to say.

Thanks again!
