It might not be the right forum to ask, but given the level of expertise around here, i give it a go!
Just received my new 2209 (after frying a few last week), and I notice that the 2 front pins are missing (diag/index)…
So, from my little knowledge, i guess they are SPI…
As I i tend to run my printer with steppers in UART mode, is this an issue? If yes, any hack/solution?

I have no clue about the Index Pin but Diag would be needed for sensorless homing. For sure, these two pins are not connected to UART or SPI functionality.

Just soldiered extra pins on the step sticks, no extra mods, and they work like a Charm!
