''Unflashable'' SKR v1.4 turbo board, help

need some help, first, trying to see if the board is still alive and if so, flashing and getting a connection to the board

board: btt skr 1.4 turbo
host: btt cb1
-host is already configured and runs 1 other printer, has 3 instances configured, everything working fine

so, recently i’m putting together a custom printer and decided to try and use a skr 1.4 turbo board that i got, don’t even remember where, a whiiiile back (but was stored correctly and is in perfect shape, not a spec of dirt on it) so i got the got plugged in a power supply, turned it on and the board seems to also turn on, the corner red light turns on and so far, so good, but then, the issues:

-when i turned it on for the first time, connected to the host, ssh into into, ran lsusb and nothing is detected (was connecting via the single usb port in the board

-Decided to build and flash the firmware via sd and see what happens, so i built, via ‘make’ command, using all the correct configs, used winscp to fetch the .bin file, renamed it as required on the btt github, turned off the board, SD on, waited a while, tried to connect, nothing, running lsusb returns no results

not sure what to do next

Follow Issues flashing the printer board.
For this board, the klipper.bin file needs to be renamed to firmware.bin. After a successful flash, it gets automatically renamed to firmware.CUR on the SD card. So, check the SD card after flashing the board.

If renaming to firmware.bin doesn’t work, try renaming to FIRMWARE.bin (all caps). That’s what I had to do on my SKR Mini E3 V2.

I remember reading somewhere that your microSD card shouldn’t be large. I used a 16GB card to flash it. What size are you using?

Just checked the sd card i used on the last flashing attempt, the firmware file did not change to .cur indeed, it’s still .bin

well, wasn’t ‘‘a sec’’ but i jus tried this, still nothing no usb detected, nothing changed

i tried firmware.bin FIRMWARE.bin and both options return the same results, no usb detected still and when i put the sd on the computer, the file still reads as a .bin not .cur
tried also 2 different sd cards, one 2gb, another 128mb, nothing

it seems like the board isn’t reading the sd/isn’t flashing correctly
could it have something to do with the bootloader? or did i miss something else?

also, don’t know if it changes anything, but one i got this board, i also got the btt display, think is a tft35 with that expansion board that had some other sd/usb ports, currently i don’t have this screen/board connected to the main board didn’t plan to use a screen on it, so all of these tests are being done with the board alone

You might want to try the process outlined here: CanBoot: Flash BTT SKR 1.3 / 1.4 / 1.4 Turbo

gave it a read, seems a bit complex but i guess it’s my only option, but since i dont have any of the itens necessary and they don’t sell locally, ill need to order via ali, might take a while, but once they get here, ill try that, just to see if i can even save this board, already got another one for my current project anyways, but ill try that, if it works, awesome, if it doesn’t guess ill need dispose of a pretty-much-new-never-used skr 1.4
tks anyways, once everything arrives, ill get back here
