Which OS version is running on her or his system?

Basic Information:

Printer Model:
MCU / Printerboard:
klippy.log

Hello,
just a simple question.

Everybody is supposed to attach the config and log files of her or his printer, when starting a new thread.

How can I find out, which OS version is running on her or his system?

I was looking here:
https://www.klipper3d.org/Debugging.html
and consulted alp_ab_t, but without success.

Kind regards, hcet14

PS: Background is, I would like to start with CAN. What I read so far might have to do something with the used OS version.

This is probably quite difficult to answer and also most like quite heterogeneous:

  • Many Raspberry Pi OS / Rasbian but again some Buster, some Bullseye
  • Probably some Armbian which is either Debian or Ubuntu based
  • Maybe some Ubuntus

From my understanding there are reports that some CAN stuff worked on 32bit kernel but not on 64bit, whereas I would believe that most of the recent installations run 64bit. IIRC the Raspberry Pi OS went 64bit beginning of 2022

Sorry, @Sineos I guess you got me wrong or my English is to crappy. I’m not a native English speaker, sorry.

My question is:

Is there an indication in the config files (klippy.log, printer.cfg, etc, or some files else) which tells us, which is the used OS?

Only the moonraker.log but this is typically not required
