Hello everyone, it’s a pleasure to greet you again. I’m making another attempt to work printing with [unclear - possibly β€œthe guy from Spain” who tried to connect without success]. I hope you’re doing well and I’m waiting for your response.

I have a flashed Chitu v6 tablet connected to my BTT Pi, but I can’t get it to connect. Here’s all the information I have. If anything is missing, that would be great. Please work on it. Best regards from Spain.

Did you use a SD card to update the firmware on the mainboard?

I can’t find a β€œofficial” set of instructions but there seems to be 2 different bootloaders used by Tronxy on these boards. the first updates with a .cbd file and the later version with a .bin file.

The Tronxy website is worse than useless. All their firmware downloads send a zipped gcode file full of Chinese characters that I can’t decipher.

If you unplug the USB cable and power on your printer does the screen work? If so you are still running Marlin firmware and will have to flash again.

I need to flash the board again; it’s a CXY-V6-191017. I’m completely lost on how to compile and flash the firmware. SOS.

This video (I didn’t watch it) claims to go through the entire process.

It is a couple years old and only works with the newer bootloader. The same guy has more videos on updating the bootloader.

Excellent work - looks like it took the upgrade.

Go to the Machine tab in mainsail and click [Devices]

Highlight serial and click refresh. Copy the device_by_id to your printer.cfg.

save and restart

Send a new klippy.log of it still won’t connect.

I think there’s a missing section in the virtual card’s printer.cfg file; I’m not sure if that’s the issue…
