A year or so ago, I attempted to start an “advanced” tuning document. The idea was to try to provide some tips for tuning some of the more arcane configuration parameters in Klipper (eg, pressure_advance_smooth_time, max_accel_to_decel). It would be nice to provide some form of documentation on how these values can be configured. (After all, in order for the tunables to have any real value, users need a way to tune them.)

Unfortunately, I was unable to make significant progress on the attempt. One of the challenges is that there are so many different kinds of printers and thus it’s really difficult to make a general document that provides useful information.
