Adxl config probe points

Describe your issue:

Im trying to use an adxl to calibrate but in the adxl config im not sure what my probe points should be or how I am supposed to get those on a delta. I’ve used this adxl on 2 sv06’s and a prusa mini with no issues. I know I’m missing something but I’ve spent 2 days trying to figure it out and im lost.

Are you referring to [resonance_tester] → probe_points?
If yes, simply choose some coordinates that are

  • roughly in the middle of your bed for X and Y
  • shortly above your bed in Z

e.g. manually move your head to such coordinates and issue a GET_POSITION and enter the coordinates under probe_points

you sir are a saint thank you! do you know if on a delta you have to test z as well for the calibration? i know on a bed slinger or corexy it just tests x and y

For a delta you might want to consider:

Due to the nature of its kinematics the resonance frequencies might be different at various X, Y positions and / or Z-heights → Test multiple positions (middle of the bed to bed’s border) and different z-heights

  • If they align, all is well, follow the recommendation
  • If they differ much, take the relevant averages and note down the range between your measurements
