Describe your issue:

Thank you for your help. Almost have everything up and running. I have two z motors plugged into two different spots on mks gen l v1.0 board. I was getting studdering on one motor and I unpluged it. It is plugged into Z1 on board the other motor is plugged into E1. The two motors have a belt connecting them. So Z axis works. In the printer.cfg it only shows one Z1 motor pinout which works on board for E1. Should there be another pin out for the motor not working or should I buy a splitter / Y cable so both motors work?

Can you clarify how you are wiring your printer and what you are trying to do with it?

There is no “Z1” connector on the MKS Gen L:

I’m also not sure why you have a belt connection - do you want to have two Z Axis drivers acting independently or the same?

The sidewinder x1 has two Z axis motors. Tracing the wire from motors to board they are plugged in to Z, and E1

The belt connecting the two of them is how it came stock. I would like both motors working. Should I take belt off. Should I use a splitter cable and connect the two motors to working plug or try to write the code for printer.cfg? Not sure what the best thing to do is. Thanks

I do have bltouch waggster mod. That maybe why i having this issue with z motors.

Why did you put in:

MCU / Printerboard: MKS Gen L

It made it sound like you had replaced the main controller board.

What is your end goal?

Do you want two independent Z-Axis motors (allow you to set up Z Tilt Adjust) or for them to work together?

End goal is for motors to work together. Sorry for confusion.

Thank you
