Ender 3 Motherboard 4.2.2 Chip gd32f303

Basic Information:

Printer Model: Ender 3
MCU / Printerboard: 4.2.2

Good afternoon! How are you? I recently bought a BTT Pi v1.2. The installation went smoothly, and everything is fine in MainSail as well. However, when I tried to install the Klipper firmware on my Ender 3, I couldn’t find support for the GD32F303 processor and couldn’t install it. I tried, but the screen just stays blue, and MainSail says the connection port can’t be found. I’ve tried several commands, but I keep getting an “access denied” error. Do you have a solution?

You have a dificult task ahead. See:

If you search the entire Klipper Discourse you’ll find 8 threads on your exact issue.

I had a V4.2.2 board years ago. The SD firmware update process (even with Marlin firmware) was a total coin flip. The board doesn’t change the filename so you never know if it actually flashed. If it won’t connect you don’t know if it is bad firmware or a bad flash.

Review the instructions at Creality for updating firmware. The process is exactly the same no matter what .bin file you are trying to flash.
