Hi , Printer ocasionally crash

Basic Information:

Printer Model: Alunar FDM M508
MCU / Printerboard: Hy Base L V1.0

Describe your issue: Hi , i am new here, I have a Alunar FDM M508 3d printer with a Hy Base L V1.0 controller board. it worked fine for 4 years now lately it crash half way in some prints. what could cause this?

Is it so difficult?

are you sarcastic or trying to help?
where do i get the klippy log?

Easy Vic!

Sarcasm isn’t liked here

He is trying to help you!

How could he offer help without a klippy.log?

Please read the Klipper documentation and Knowledge Base. They are both worth reading

Let me think about sarcasm:

Me calling the car garage: “My car does not work”
Garage: “What is the problem?”
Me: “Don’t know. It is not driving. You are the garage. Help me”
Garage: “Describe your problem”
Me: “Well, last year I could drive with it, now I can’t”
Garage: “Is it soo difficult to describe your problem?”
Me: “Are you getting sarcastic or are you trying to help?!?”

Off to search a cleaning cloth to polish my slightly dull crystal ball…

Now that we are done with sarcasm: Start here: How-To Trouble-Shoot

Please be patient I am an old man trying to play with your toys.

To start I have a Alunar FDM M508 Printer with a Hy Base L V1.0 board

I think this is a klipper board? Or is klipper only software?

I use Cura as an slicer.

These are my firmware configuration files – I hope it helps.

Or

Must I download some file to get the klippy log file?

But strange the last 2 prints it printed fine with no “freeze” and before it froze half way through the prints.

As a test I am printing no 3 now.

Please be patient and help me .

Edit Sineos: Remove the email cruft

I have marlin Main I3 and arduino software installed which came with the printer.

Firstly, please do not use email to handle Discourse post. Email will completely mess up the formatting and adds a lot of unwanted cruft.

Klipper is commonly called a 3d printer firmware and is in the first place not directly related to the hardware. If you want to understand how Klipper works (in simple terms), read Klipper Architecture / Ecosystem

Marlin and Klipper are both 3d printer firmwares but they function fundamentally different. Before we continue, it would be really helpful to know if your are running Klipper or Marlin on your printer
