Issues with GY-291 adxl345

Hi everyone! I´m finishing setting up klipper in my printer and I want to configure the inpur shaping. I bought a GY-291 adxl345 board online but I can´t make it work in klipper. At first I tried to connect the adxl345 to the SPI of the rpi4 running klipper (rpi4 + arduino mega). I wasn´t lucky, I tried many times, double, triple checked the connections, configuration, everything, and always he same message: Invalid id, got 0.

I tried with the rpi pico, so I connected the wiring, did changes to the printer.cfg and still the same result. I´m about to quit!, I can´t make it work.

The only thing left to do is to connect everything on a proto boards and check voltage levels (inlet and outlet of the voltage regulator chip I saw on the pictures.

I´m using the 3,3V rail.

Any suggestion to try and see if I can make it work?

thanks in advance

Hello @cmdima and welcome to the forum!

Please attach the klippy.log to your next post.

There is a small, but non trivial, chance your board is damaged/deffective.

klippy (2).log (148.9 KB)

here´s my Klippy log. I connected the board to the 5V rail, checked for the 3,3V at the outlet. and in the board pins but the result is the same…

Invalid adxl345 id (got 0 vs e5).

Invalid adxl345 id (got 0 vs e5).
This is generally indicative of connection problems
(e.g. faulty wiring) or a faulty adxl345 chip.

What cable are you using to connect the ADXL with the board and how long is it?
Everytime I received such an error it was due to bad cabling.
