Describe your issue:

…I wrote a new klipper-mainsail image on a new sd card and I want to copy my config (and other needed stuff) from the original card to the new card. What is the best way to get it done? I know this is probably a stupid question but I’m new at this.

Thanks Steve

Hello @Zxi1100 !

  1. Shutdown the SBC
  2. Take out the new SC card
  3. Insert the old SD card
  4. Power up the SBC
  5. When accessible, download the needed data.
  6. Shutdown the SBC
  7. Take out the old SC card
  8. Insert the new SD card
  9. Upload the saved data.

The printer.cfg should also be there.

Another route:

  1. Put the old card in a reader and install it to your PC.
  2. Use DiskGenius* to open the Linux volume on the card.
  3. Copy files to a “local” folder
  4. Use web UI to upload

*alternative software to read ext4 volumes
