What does "xxx" added to a G-Code command mean?
I’m trying to diagnose excessive noise while doing a fast move without extruding. The code that’s being executed looks like F9000
112. What does the 112 mean? The actual move looks reasonable at 150 mm/sec (9000/60). It can’t mean multiplication (16,800 mm/sec), and I’ve seen similar modifications on other commands like "G1 E0.7592124).
(The printer works as expected without the *xxx added to the commands)

For a G-code explanation see here:

The 112 is the checksum and should be preceded by a *

It makes a difference if you use </> in the editor or not

Just plain it is

G1 X100 F9000112

With </>

G1 X100 F9000*112

Thank you - that answers my question! :grinning:
