LED lights. Stupid question, Maybe

I was wondering if it would be possible for Klipper control board (octopus max ez) to interface with a rotary encoder to adjust LED Lights. Rotate without pressing, adjust brightness, rotate while pressing button adjust colour, press button to toggle on off. My idea of allowing board or host to control LED with encoder is that error status could then be signalled on lights with change of colour, eg flashing red critical error that has caused shutdown, flashing orange non critical that has paused eg filament runout.

Is this possible or would this be easier to palm off to an Arduino or the PI?

Thanks in advance, and, apologies if this is the wrong place to ask.

You got this when opening the topic in the Dev category. Should need no further explanation.

Not that I’d be aware of

Be aware that this is an unofficial modification for Klipper. Any support from this forum here will only be provided without such modifications.
