No run_current value for creality 4.2.7 boards?

Basic Information:

Printer Model: Ender 3 v1, pro and v2
MCU / Printerboard: creality 4.2.7

Hello guys, just a simple question:
I was wondering why there’s no run_current value in such boards configurations?
If I use bigger motors, will the steppers adapt the run_current by themselves ? Or will klipper use the default 4234 motors value?
Thank you!

(No klippy.log because it’s not an issue, just a general question)

This board has “dumb” TMC drivers that cannot be controlled via software. There is a small potentiometer besides each driver chip that allows setting the current via measuring voltage.

I read somewhere that the Vrefs were ignored by klipper so I wasn’t sure.thank you @Sineos !

If you have drivers that have a potentiometer but are connected via UART or SPI, then the software setting takes precedence. If the drivers are not connected to such a bus, you can only use the potentiometer.
