This is no issue, just a general question.

Does anybody made experiences with TMC2240 drivers?
Can we easily replace TMC2209 with TMC2240?

First glance doesn’t show any problems regarding SKR2. Of course, some soldering might be needed.

Thank you, hcet14

TMC2240 in stepstick form factor are out for like 2 weeks, so not much to say, I would think. Klipper supports them, so give it a try.

I am currently converting an Ender 3 V2 to an Enderwire and I have a Manta M4P at the moment. I have TMC2240s installed in that board, and they seem to very comparable to TMC2209s. The 2 main difference I have noticed so far is the TMC2240s have internal temperature sensors and the TMC2209s don’t, and the TMC2240s are an absolute nightmare to try and get sensor less homing working consistently. There is only one value for driver_SGT in the config that will work, and it doesn’t always work, so it’s pretty much useless. So if you want sensor less homing stick with the TMC2209s.
