Sizes of the PI TFT50 V2.1

Basic Information:

based on CR10S PRO V2 but self built
Pi4 with Octopus V1.1 and PI TFT50 V2.1
klippy log not applicable

Hello everybody.
I am designing my new printer and will use above setup.
I am looking at the BIQU website for the sizes of the PI TFT50 V2.1 but there it only states the footprint sizes of all screens, not describing the screen thickness, the pin height nor the standoff pin length for the PI.
Does anybody have more info or a link to another site where all the relevant sizes are mentioned?
I could wait until the board arrives but I am designing and printing my enclosure now so this info is stopping progress.
Much appreciated.
Kees

I’d suggerst you start with the .step file for the PITFT50:

The dimensions on the 2.1 sales page look to be identical between the two.

This step file is incomplete. It does not show the thickness of any of the components. The screen is not on it, only a 2 dimensional printed circuitboard with some components on it.
I suppose if I do not find a more complete drawing of this part I shall have to wait until it arrives.
Thank you for linking this though, it was promising but unfortunately not living up to that promise.

I have the v2.0 attached to my CoreXY and can maybe measure some things if necessary though I’m happy it is mounted properly.
As far as I could find the main change is the location of the brightness button meaning all of the attachment holes/standoffs should be located according to the schematics PDF.

Having it installed flush with the top of its housing its total height/thickness is 13 mm:

Maybe this will help you already.

Hi LifeOfBrian,

So what I understand is that the 4 corner studs are mounted against your blue surface and that the screen is then flush with the edge you marked at 13 mm? If that is correct it does help indeed and I can move on a bit. just leaves the length of the 4 standoff studs for the pi mount.
Thanks.

Yes it is mounted like this:

However the RasPI sits inside the printer and not behind the TFT.
So the 13 mm are from the surface of the TFT to the end of the outer standoffs as you already noticed.

The four inner holes in my housing are for the mount to the printer and do not relate to the TFT itself.
