Fought with this for a bit, then haven’t touched my printer for a few months out of frustration. Attempting to install a BTT 42 v1.1, using the CAN FD port on the board, not USB. Can’t seem to see the serial of the canbus when I SSH, and get the “mcu ‘EBBCan’: Unable to connect” error when going into the web interface. Most everything I find is using an additional component to get this working. Does anyone have it working through the CAN port of this board? What am I missing?
The fact is that until you make the firmware and flash the skr3, the CAN will not rise in the system, so first you need to make the SRK3 board and then the ebb
Started from the beginning again with the instructions from the link, can not get SKR3 to go into Katapult mode. Tried both the script and double clicking reset. Still reports USB Klipper and not USB Katapult.
Got everything flashed, can id for both main board and the tool head. Will be working on getting everything assigned correctly so all features work. Will report back with results, hopefully it all works. Not sure why they were being so finicky, kinda seems typical of can bus install.
Everything is running, finally. Now to get everything calibrated. Ended up using a different USB cable and everything flashed first try after that point.
