Smoothieboard v1.1 LPCxxx9 not flashing

Basic Information:

Printer Model:
MCU / Printerboard:
Host / SBC
klippy.log

Fill out above information and in all cases attach your klippy.log file (use zip to compress it, if too big). Pasting your printer.cfg is not needed

Describe your issue:

I installed klipper on my raspberry pi3 (and 4) and tried to create klipper.bin

When i put on sd card from pi3 or pi4 (tried 3 diff sd cards) and turn on amoothieboard (vbb connected and usb disconnected) vbb and LED1 are solod on. If i restart all leds are going solid ON

Created klipper.bin as

Lpc1769 120mhz

16kib bootloader (tried manually 32 amd 64 with no lick)

Usb com

And never flashes BUT if i flash with any .bin from frimwarebin on amoothie website it flashes

Any ideeas what m i doing wrong?

Welcome Dann,

I never used a smoothieboard. There is a generic config https://github.com/Klipper3d/klipper/blob/master/config/generic-smoothieboard.cfg, but that’s not your problem. My best advice is, search here and in the www. I’m sure, you are not the first one with that problem.
One issue often is the naming of the klipper.bin file to flash it from SDcard.

I renamed to firmware.bin

Also i tried so many steps

Now im installing mainsailOS on rapsberry and smoothieware on board snd see from there

Is this fissable?

How did you build klipper.bin? The KIAUH way or the Klipper way?

I’d assume the file is getting flashed because filename is changed.

But the board won’t communicate once flashed.

Have you tried alternate “communication settings” in makemenu?

Yes i tried woth 1768 100mhz as well.. with bootloader and without

Still no luck :frowning:

Can i install klipper via uart mode? From isp pins ?

I choose USB.

So i press ISP button while smoothieboard on from VBB with everything disconnected (except usb and isp-to-usb)

After i press RESSET and release. After that I release the ISP as well right?

Did this and winflash doesn t read anything

The VBB LED stays solid on the whole time
