Describe your issue:

hI all
i have poor quality printed parts.
i tried to set pressure advance and found a high value, more than 0,5.
i read that i need to modify acceleration of extruder for to obtain lower value.
how can i do this?

My printed parts have defects in the retraction point and i’m trying to solve them.
I 'm using fw retraction but continue to have a small blob when retraction starts.

Thank you.

With your configured settings it is quite unlikely that this issue is related to acceleration.

  • Bowden or direct extruder? → For bowden this value is perfectly OK
  • Your firmware retract with 3mm is too high when using PA
  • Depending on the extruder, also 40 mm/s may be too fast
  • Make sure your extruder’s rotation_distance is properly calibrated

Thank you SIneos for your help.
i rechecked rotation_distance end correct it a bit.
i’m trying with 1,5-2 mm retraction and seems work better,
however i continue to have poor finish.
i will attach some images as soon i can.
Thank you.
