Change idle timeout for preheating

Basic Information:

Printer Model: Ender 3
MCU / Printerboard: creality 4.2.7
Host / SBC: pi3b

Hello guys! After reading dozens of posts on Reddit, forums etc I can’t figure out an easy solution to my question about the idle_timeout function.

I made a basic “preheat” macro (set bed temp to 100°c) to heat my enclosure. I use it to let my bed heating before printing for nearly 30 mins.
But every 10 mins the idle timeout shuts the bed down and I have to lauch it again.
If it’s possible, I want to set the idle_timeout for this macro to 30 mins to let it run longer than the original timeout of 10 mins.
But I want the timeout back to 10 mins for everything else.

If I set the timeout to 30,will it stay at 30 all the time? Is there an easy way to do this please? Thank you

Would be nice to see it in your klippy.log.

There’s only “M140 S100” command in it. Really basic. Only to get a button on the interface to preheat without entering the temp manually every time and so I can add commands later if needed.

  1. How-To Ask for Help - Please stick to it. Being forced to ask over and over again is really cumbersome and once we are tired enough, we might be starting to close such threads without further notice. It does not matter if you think it is needed or not. It does not matter if there are individual cases where it might really not be needed.
