How does the queue work?

Good morning,
I think the problem must be stupid but I can’t seem to use the queue, I don’t see an option anywhere to add items to the queue, I use Cura and if I try to upload a G-code by checking “start print Job” while the printer is already printing, the file is just added to the list of available files and it is not added to the queue waiting.

Thank you in advance for your response

You are talking about frontend and not about klipper itself, I guess.

How could the printer keep a queue, since user interaction is needed to remove the previous print?

I’m talking about that :

I remember that in high school, the establishment had Ultimaker-3s and that there was a queue system, we sent the files from cura, the printing was started, and once the printing was finished , we removed the piece from the bed, pressed “main Menu” and it launched the next print which was in the queue, that’s what the image I attached reminds me of, but maybe maybe it has nothing to do with it

Then it’s not about klipper but about the interface you use.
Fluidd or mainsail? Better ask in the section about frontends, or in the respective forums.

Check Reddit - Dive into anything and the documentation of Moonraker

I didn’t know they were two different things, I’m going to close this discussion and go find out there, thank you for taking the time to answer me

Not sure, why this needs closing. A legit question, albeit better located in the Frontends section.

As far as my understanding goes, the queue is controlled by moonraker and is tied to the pause / resume function. This means the printer will be paused after a file is printed and / or the printer needs to be paused / idle for adding to the queue.

I just tried the queue for both mainsail and fluidd and it seems to be working as intended.
