Since you came here, searching for Klipper knowledge, I will share some of mine. Use it wisely on your quest ahead to master the mysteries of Klipper.
Current scientific knowledge
Some years ago an ancient artifact was uncovered. It is a tablet made out of an unknown filament and one can read following embossed text printed on it
Thou shalt set out on a journey and seek the Temple of Klipperium, well-hidden before the prying eyes of the evil gods of Marlin and RRF […].
Unfortunately, it is only a fragment of the entire text and the rest is currently lost. Newest results indicate that the tablet is made out of a substance similar to ULTEM filament but with vastly superior properties.
The reference to Marlin and RRF is also highly debated in the scientific circles. The most common view is that the gods of Marlin and RRF consider Klipper’s Architecture as heresy and seek to annihilate it from the earth.
But well, this is only a theory amongst many.
So, if you truly want to master Klipper you will need to find this mysterious temple. It is thought to be located deep in the US.
The Temple of Klipperium
Once you find this temple and request entry, you will be greeted by the Eternal Keeper of the Klipper Lore. For sake of simplicity we will call him Kevin.
Kevin will scrutinize you and asses you genuine and honest motivation to enter, making sure no impure or evil spoils the sacred grounds.
The next months you will be drinking tea made of PLA (bio-degradable) and sleep on a self-printed ABS mattress (hint: use gyroid infill, its way more comfortable).
This will prepare your body and mind for the upcoming and make sure you are properly tuned to the cosmic belt tension.
During this time your main task will be learning the Klipper Lore by heart (profanely known as Documentation). Once you have achieved this, you will advance to next level.
Mastering the Mechanics
Through rigorous training you will learn how to master the mechanics of a 3D printer. From using a die-makers square up to establishing your own custom build, every aspect is included.
The final test of this level will not be in the temple itself but in another well-hidden place called the “Cave of Voronites”.
This very seclusive and clandestine cult of 3D printer engineers will take you to the test. It will be comprised of printing, assembling, installing Klipper and dialing in a Voron v2.4.
But be prepared: You will have to do it blindfolded with one hand tied on your back.
The test is considered passed, when the Voronites award you with a serial number for your build.
Mastering Jinja2
Jinja2 is an obscure and mysterious language to unleash the full potential of Klipper. Mastering this will take you to the next level.
A word of warning:
This is an especially hard trial. Quite some have failed and a dark veil of insanity has come over their minds. Still today they are wandering the halls of the Klipperium temple, muttering Jinja2 code fragments.
Do not listen to them. This code will inevitable lead to a hard head crash in your printer.
After achieving this level, you are entitled to be called “Acolyte of Template Expansion”
The Inner Sanctuary
You have now worked hard and will be granted the right to enter the inner sanctuary of the Klipperium temple, called the Git Hub.
Here the power of Klipper is concentrated in a golden repository that is admiringly referred to as the SOURCE CODE.
Although your still weak mind will probably not be able to really grasp its entire beauty, much less understand it, you will get a glimpse of its glory and power.
Use this inspiration to continue your journey.
Continuing the Journey
Depending on your skills there are now endless possibilities for you to continue on the road that you have started with.
Some choose to stay in the Inner Sanctuary to work with the Source Code. Though, only few have the power and discipline to be chosen for this task by Eternal Keeper of the Klipper Lore.
Others might wander across earth’s face in order to spread the Klipper word and to support the poor souls who have tasted Klipper’s power but simply have been overwhelmed by it.
In any case, equipped with this knowledge, you should be able to forge your destiny. Good luck and may the proper extrusion be with you.
