Hello everyone,
I am thinking about buying an MKS skipr board for the assembly of a Voron Trident.
Do you know if it is possible to power the “Pi” part when the main power input is off using the USB HOST port or a dedicated 5V power supply? THANKS

No!
Maybe.

If using 5V adapter, this device
must be mounted.Replacing TVS mode is not
recommended, if must, please choose the same specifications
Operating Supply Vltage :5.5V(5.25-6V)
PeakPulse Current:>10A(tp=8/20uS)
Surge Clamping Voltage:<6.5V
I would suggest to ask for using a 5V power supply. USB Host power · Issue #48 · makerbase-mks/MKS-SKIPR · GitHub
