New installation - mcu shutdown when homing (G28)

Basic Information:

Printer Model: Ender 3
MCU / Printerboard: Creality 4.2.7 / Raspberry Pi Zero2W
klippy.log klippy (7).zip (961.3 KB)

Hi, i’ve been using klipper+mainsail for about a month on my ender 3, on the 4.2.2 mainboard, worked flawlessly, no problems.

Today I switched to a 4.2.7 board, the silent one.
I started getting problems right away: first I had that one debian bug which didn’t let me find my serial port.
Fortunately I solved it through the automated script I found on this forum.

Now that the printer connects, I have a new problem:
I went ahead and told it to home (g28), and as soon as the X axis touches the endswitch, the mcu shuts down with an orange alert on Mainsail

Klipper reports: SHUTDOWN

Internal error on command:“G28”
Once the underlying issue is corrected, use the
“FIRMWARE_RESTART” command to reset the firmware, reload the
config, and restart the host software.
Printer is shutdown

I have no idea why, I cannot decipher the error log

Can somebody help? Thanks!!!

Update:
I managed to solve it by restoring the default printer.cfg from the examples zip file.

It must have been some rogue configuration in my old config file that clashed with the new board.

It was giving a “stepper.error: Internal error in stepcompress”

Let’s hope everything works fine now.
