Describe your issue:

After replacing original hotend with spider pro hotend and replacing the bowden extruder with lgx lite, I started getting rings around my prints at about 5mm entervals.
I have done pressure advanced callinration as well as extruder steps callibration. I will attach my cfg and log file from my pc now.

That’s not a Klipper issue, that’s a mechanical problem. Your Z-axis is likely binding somewhere.

klippy (2).log (2.5 MB)
printer (1).cfg (6.8 KB)

ok, i did tighten the screws(a bit lol) maybe a (bit) too much. let me try loosen them

While I agree with @Arakon that this looks like a mechanical issue with the z-axis, I’d still have a question:

  • What stepper drivers are used on an Ender 7?
  • Did you do whatever is necessary to tune them to around ~0.5A as required by the LGX stepper motor?

the stepper drivers are the original that come with that motherboard.
Now for the LGX i did notice it getting hot and was gonna tune the motherboard for that using a small screw driver and voltometer but for now i just added a 24v fan at the back of the LGX and it seems to be cool to touch now. but i will get to doing the motherboard these coming days.
Im more worried about the rings, i have loosened the screwes a bit seems like its moving a bit more free. i will do a test print now.

I believe you were right. I had over tightened the back holding the Z axis. I loosened it up and played a bit with it and now seems to be getting better prints. Going to post results as soon as its done. But from looks of it looking much better. I may have to rerun the pressure advanced and extrusion test again just to make everything dial in.
