Describe your issue:

…Hi,
For the last few days every time I try to print the x axis stops working early in the print. The homing and some of the first layer are fine, then the x axis makes a sound like its going back and forth rapidly and it then appears to de energize. The printer continues like nothing has happened, but there is only movement in the y and z axis. I have tried a number of g code files, including ones created before the issue began, same result. All axis jog as expected and move as expected during homing, height mapping, and the g-code viewer runs through the model fine, both as a preview and in tracking mode.

I installed all updates a recently, not sure if this was immediately prior to the issue beginning.

If I need o supply more information please let me know…

Regards,
Mark

  • The log does not contain any errors.
  • The used TMC drivers on this board are “standalone,” so they do not report back any errors.
  • This could be a defect, such as an issue with the stepper motor, stepper driver, or wiring, that only occurs after a certain period. This might be due to rising temperatures or other factors.

Hi Sineos,
Thank you for checking the logs. I will check the wiring, swap out the stepper and if needed the control board and see what happens

Regards,
Mark
