X stepper heavy vibrations

Describe your issue:

Hi,

We t to go print the second thing this morning and the x stepper started to vibrate while moving. I don’t understand why it moves to the end and then comes back. The sound is not correctly picked up in the video. More like buzzing vibrating sound, you can also see the belt vibrating.

Have you checked the hardware on the x-axes?

  • Belt tension
  • Smoothness of the rails
  • Lubrication
  • Screws

Quite odd values for rotation_distance in stepper_x, stepper_y and stepper_z.

I think so. I’ll go over them again thanks. The print head moves quite freely with the motors disabled. Why would the printhead travel back after hitting the end stop? I don’t have senseless homing active. Quite strange
