Z_ calibration is not a valid config section

Basic Information:

Printer Model: Voron 2.4
MCU / Printerboard: 2- skr 1.4
Host / SBC
klippy.log
klippy.log (80.2 KB)
Hi I am getting this error. I built the printer a few years ago and havent used it since then all the software has been updated. Not sure whats wrong. thanks

Fill out above information and in all cases attach your klippy.log file (use zip to compress it, if too big). Pasting your printer.cfg is not needed
Be sure to check our “Knowledge Base” Category first. Most relevant items, e.g. error messages, are covered there

Describe your issue:

As long it does not appear here:

https://www.klipper3d.org/Config_Reference.html

it’s not valid.

What do you want to achieve with that command?
What is it supposed to do?
Where have you got that information from?

Hi,

Sorry for not explaining it well. I am getting this error in klipper after updating all the software, it’s preventing printer from operating. I’m guessing that phrase is no longer used because

I don’t see in printer config. The last time I used printer was a couple of years ago.

Thanks for replying

As you noticed yourself: This is due to an (unsupported) 3rd party modification - GitHub - protoloft/klipper_z_calibration: Klipper plugin for self-calibrating z-offset

Likely, this is no longer properly installed due to the Klipper update. So, either reinstall it according to the relevant instructions or remove it.

Hi,

thanks for your help. Put file in extras folder and it’s good. Probably opening a can of worms now I have this

I commented that out in config and the can of worms blow open  looks like the mcu software needs updating as well.

I decided to do a fresh install of everything being it’s been a few years. I’m doing my V0.1 first to get familiar with the process again. Klipper error is looking for Heatsoak.cfg in printer_data/config. I’m glad I’m retired now at least I have more time. I think I remember why I haven’t touched them for a while. it would be nice to actually print something it’s a little bit frustrating. Thanks for the help so far.
