Describe your issue:

… I had my 4.2.2 Ender 3 board die and got a replacement 4.2.7 board to replace it. I am having the same issues that some other people have posted about online, where you can hear a bump noise when the steppers are activated but there is no movement. Homing x or y axis gives the error “No trigger on x after full movement”.
In all of the posts I read, this issue was that the 4.2.7 reversed some pins and needed the config file adjusted. However, I have tried this (among a lot of other things) and I still get the same results regardless. Does anyone have any idea of what else could cause this? I’ve been working on it all week. I’ve checked the wiring several times but I can’t find anything out of place. Log attached.

Have you checked that the stepper’s phases are correctly connected? According to Creality Board 4.2.2 and 4.2.7 Schematics it should be pin 1 and 2 for one phase and 3 and 4 for the other phase.

I’m not aware of any special settings needed on this board, but I also do not own one.
