Hello,
I want to install klipper on my schools 1.0 Pro but I’ve been looking for ages for a config and I have not found anything. Does someone has a working config for it? The printer has an Ender 3 extruder installed if that makes a huge difference
Hello @MniejNizZero !
This is almost 4 years old: XYZPrinting Davinci 1.0a Klipper configs
yeah but its a config for 1.0a and it doesnt work for pro and the one that is for pro on this thread doesn’t work because it was made for heavily modified printer
In addition: Da Vinci MCU unable to connect
We do have most of the config worked out for the Pro, but if you’ve been watching the other thread, Obviously the Extruder heater and the thermistor are currently inaccessable due to the M0 toolhead mcu. that is really the only holdup for use. I have been working with another user who swapped in a BTT Skr board (which is working,) so the mainboard can be worked on for the DaVinci project. But, right now we currently recommend atleast a secndary mcu to control the heater and thermistor. USB Toolhead boards are a great solution, and there is plenty of real estate on the current toolhead. I have our WIP config posted on my github repo. but feel free to DM me here, or on Klipper discord. so I can help you further. I truly want to keep these beuties out of the landfil so to speak. As with the mcu issue, now that we have a donated mainboard, to dig deeper into it. I do have hopes this can be accomplished.
I will also tell you that we do theorhetically know how to flash the M0 chip via uart, there was a thread on here about a similar board being flashed that way directly from the pi, we could break the pins out of the board and then do it like that,
as the LPC chip that controls the tool head is the same as the BTT SKR 1.4 board we can use a similar settup as described here in order to flash the m0 chip, we’d just need to break out the pins needed and figure out the rest of that, fortunately we have the exact chip mode, AND BTT shows in depth skematics for their boards which will gtive us the info we need,
