Elegoo Neptune 4 Print Error

Hi All. I’m new to 3D printing and have received a Elegoo Neptune 4 for Christmas. The models that are supplied with the printer all print without issues. My problem is that if I download a .3mf file from the internet and slice it using the supplied Elegoo Slicer software, I more than often get the errors shown in the attachments. I have no idea as to how to fix this issue. Where do I find the SDCARD_RESET_FILE or how to FIRMWARE_RESET the printer? PRINTER_PARAM is not valid for MACRO. What does that mean? Any help would be very much appreciated.

Hello @Coconutdog !

Those files can have certain settings for other printers that do not work with the Elegoo. Do you have an example of such a file?

Hi @Coconutdog ,

The Neptune 4 series runs a heavily modded Elegoo version of Klipper, so unfortunately the help we can give is limited.

I would reach out to Elegoo support instead. Hopefully they can sort it out.

Best of luck on your 3d printing journey!

I tried printing this one from the Jaycar site. No luck.

Sorry, but I asked for the 3mf file.

Sorry, here’s the correct file, forum wouldn’t allow me to upload the .3mf file directly. I’ve included both halves of the spool, I only tried the first part. Regards.

How are you moving your g-code files from your slicer to your printer?

Are you copying them to a SD card or USB stick OR sending them over your network?

I don’t find “PRINTER_PARAM” in any macro in printer.cfg or your g-code. Makes me think there is a saved variable that is supposed to contain the file name and path but is not getting updated.

Thanks mate. You’d think that the Elegoo slicer would take this into account and prepare any .3mf file for the Elegoo printers.

Gcode is moved via wired LAN connection. Do you want a copy of the printer.cfg file?

I don’t understand Elegoo’s custom version of Klipper well enough to be of further help.

I can recommend:

Thanks mate. Will take your advice. My version of ES is 1.3.0.7. Thanks for your help.
