Describe your issue:

Hello

I have an ender 5 s1 with sonic pad (klipper) , is for hobby so no intense use most time the printer stay off power. Today I had to print some keychains (150) for a friend. Like usual I prep the stl in cura and send it to the printer and left it to work her magic.
When I came back 1h after the printing started the printer was frozen.
I tried to do some diagnoses alone but didn't succeed.
Its saying that the heater is no heating at expected rate.
I tried changing the hot end (all in one unit thermistor/nozzle/heating cartridge) , I tried changing the back board on the head still nothing , I tried to resliced the file ( 4 times ) still nothing.
When I try to set the bed to 80 and nozzle at 240 , its staying very steady and normal at the desire temperature but as soon as I select the file to print, the hole web interface freezes and its giving me the screenshotted error.
It`s something I can try/check or should i say that the motherboard is somehow toaste?
If I attached the wrong klippy.log file please tell me I have 5 more files name klippy.log.

Hello @MAR !

Sorry, but it’s hard to analyse the klippy.log because of Creality Sonic Pad and Alternatives

Sounds like a broken wire (thermistor most likely) in the umbilical to the toolhead.

Heat up the extruder and wiggle/pull on the umbilical between the print head and the tie point near the X motor.

So basically I need to go and “ring” to Creality door hoping for them to support a old product?
It`s there anything I can check before trying?

I replace the extruder with new wires(brand new).
The printer is not even starting to move before freezing.
It`s freezing right after the nozzle reach the desired temperature.

What temperature does it read now?
Will it preheat without starting a print?

Yes I can preheat it manually from the web interface.
But after I select the File and try to print it it`s starting to go mad and freeze.

This is a community forum (that does get read by some Klipper developers) about plain vanilla Klipper.

You could easily find a forum for the sonic pad.

Complaining here about Creality’s lack of support is worse than useless.

First I tried to google it and found the Klipper forum Ive seen other peoples with different printers having the same issue. I tried their fixes but didn`t change anything.

I`m sorry I didn`t come here to complain about the Creality lack of support I just figured since the sonic pad runs a Klipper instance this forum could help me somehow troubleshot the error better.
Again I`m really sorry, I didn`t mean to offend or insult anybody. I will try the Sonic forum for help there, but I starting to believe that my next printer will be a Voron...

If you have any hardware laying around you can install Klipper on (almost) anything that will run Linux. I started with a OLD laptop with a busted screen. Plugged HDMI into a TV long enough to install Ubuntu and SSH. Then proceed with KIAUH over SSH. You’d have to edit your printer.cfg and use Mainsail/Fluidd for an interface.
Currently I run a Microsoft Surface Go ($65 on eBay). 2x the power of a RPi 5, 10" touchscreen makes klipperscreen look awesome. No GPIO for an accelerometer but USB accelerometers are <$10

I will leave my solution here maybe it will help the next people who is fighting this problem.

I did a factory reset to the Sonic Pad and did a clean install or firmware on the printer and now everything is back to working condition.

The solution was found on my own and may not work for everybody.

PS. I personally will avoid these kind of products for the future.
